WCW presented a Nitro with many happenings
tonight, least of all the reformation of the 4 Horsemen and the return
of Ric Flair.
The opening of the show consisted of a quick
recap of Fall Brawl,and how rumors were running rampart about Flair and
the Horsemen. Mike Tenay was at the Greenville airport with a tease about
Flair.
The Ernest "The Cat" Miller angle continued when
The Cat ran in an interfeared in a match between Van Hammer and Alex Wright.
This resultled in Miller being escorted out by Security and Greenville's
Finest.
Brett Hart starts his face turn tonight,In an
interview with Gene Okerlund, Hart called himself a jackass, said he was
conned by Hogan. also said he didn't earn or deserve the US Title. Said
that he was going to make Hogans life a living Hell. At this point Roddy
Piper came out and said he told Hart 2 weeks ago that this would happen.
The segment ended with Hart asking the fans for another chance.
Saturn had a match against Kendell Windham, in
an excellent match, Saturn was the victor, The Flock came out, Raven appeared
with Kanyon in the crowd, Raven tried to get the Flock to rejoin him, Saturn
told the Flock that they were free, In the end the Flock took the freedom
and walked away from Raven.
Hogan, Bischoff, Liz and the Disciple came out
and Hogan challenged The Warrior to a match at Halloween Havoc. The smoke
screen appears and when the ring clears the Disciple is missing, Hogan
goes nuts.
A suprise!!! Kidman replaces Kaz Hyachi in a
Crusierweight Title match vs. Juventud Guerrera, A well excuted match,
interesting and exciting. Kidman hit the Shooting Star Press, get the pin
and Kidman is the New WCW Cruserweight Champion.
Bischoff and Eddie Guerrero arguing in the back
on the return from the break. Bischoff tells Eddie that he is going to
Japan, Eddie tells Bischoff what comes around goes around.
Jim Neidhart comes out for a match, but the ring
fills with smoke and The Warrior appears, with the Disciple bowing at the
Warriors feet. The NWO comes out in force led by Hogan. The Warrior accepts
Hogans challenge for Halloween Havoc. As the NWO sets for the attack, the
ring fills with smoke and the Warrior and Disciple disappear.
Scott Hall came out for a match against Luger. Hall
appeared very drunk, as he stumbled to and in and around the ring, Vincent
was at ringside feeding Hall drinks. The announcing team was making a deal
about how shameful this was. Hall and Luger attempted to put on a match
but Hall was not having any part of it. Luger was acting disgusted, Hall
was making jokes or falling down, Bischoff came down to put an end to it.
Hall and Bischoff were having words, Nash and Konnan also came down to
try to help out. Hall was combative. The all of a sudden he got sick and
puked on Bischoff. Bischoff told the truck to cut to break.
After the break JJ Dillon was making his way to the
ring. Dillon calls out Arn Anderson. Dillon apoligizes for his remarks
of 2 weeks ago. Anderson: Can you smell it. 15000 people blow the roof
off...Thas what a pop smells like....A new beginning for the 4 Horsemen.
Anderson calls out Steve Mongo Mcmichael, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko. And
then Ric Flair...The crowd goes crazy, Flair has trouble controlling his
emotion, he chokes back the tears, Said he was almost embarresed by the
response, 25 years of work was worth it. Starts his shoot interview about
Bischoff, Bischoff comes out, Tells Flair he would never wrestle, Flair
response was: Bischoff was an "Little obnoxious as***le, told Bischoff,
he sucks, and called hin an SOB I hate you, and go ahead and fire me as
they cut away. The censor was asleep at the button since most of this didn't
get bleeped.
The mainevent was Goldberg vs. Sting. In a suprisingly
good match, was entertaining until Hogan interfered, Goldberg got the win
after Hogan nailed Sting when Sting had the Scorpion Lock on Goldberg,
Nobody saw Hogan interfere. Hogan attacked Goldberg after the pin and Brett
Hart made the save. Goldberg helped Sting after the match.
